so for an external Client this certificate is not this certificate is one signed from our internal Domain CA. Now i was testing again a Meeting with an external user and i discovered that the Connection uses the Standard certificate of the front end pool. changed the certificates for the front end so that the new simple URLs are in the certificate.changed the simple URL in the topology and published it.installed a WAP for reverse Proxy and configured the simple URL dialin/ to be redirected to the front end pool.I can Chat with my internal contacts too and make calls voice and Videoīy cheching the result of the planning tool i saw that i had a misconfiguration for the simple url's and yes i did not have a reverse Proxy so i did the following external Access for Domain Users is working fine, so i can connect with my Laptop with the S4B Client from my wifi at home without VPN.

IF you need difference between open and closed federation,įor external meeting, you need to check external user access.Īre you able to login SFB or Lync from external and the external access already configured? Though you have open federation, you cannot communicate with other users who have closed federation.įor closed federations the access edge needs to be added in both sides and ports needs to be open in firewall(if you have IP based rules for lync federation). Make sure you have SRV record configured for federations and ports are open.
